Today saw my first visit to St. Just Feast for about 20 years.
It was as interesting as a lot of horses and hounds in a town square could be.
There are a few pictures in the posts below that show the complete lack of any health and safety considerations.
The mix of horses, hounds, people, buses and lorries all mixed together with a lack of any crowd control led to periods of chaos and vehicles tried to push through the scene.
I’m not sure whether it’s refreshing or worrying to see such an event when normally the H&S requirements cause fear to stop most local events.
I’m not suggesting we go back to almost complete disregard for safety I remember from my youth, but this event was a reminder that not all events need to such paralysis from fear.
